Appetite guides (by risk type)

An underwriter's reference showing which risk types, classes of business, and account sizes a carrier will write, decline, or refer.

What it usually contains

  • Target and preferred classes of business, often by industry code
  • Prohibited or declined risks and ineligible operations
  • Limits, deductibles, and premium size ranges the carrier will consider
  • States or regions where the program is available
  • Referral triggers for accounts needing underwriter or home office review

What the assistant uses it for

Use it to answer whether a particular account or class fits a carrier's underwriting appetite, and what limits, geography, and coverage terms are available before a submission is made.

How it is versioned

A document of this type has exactly one current version at a time. Upload a revision and it becomes the version that counts — the one before it is kept and dated, but is no longer what your assistant answers from. Nothing is ever deleted, so you can always show what this document said on a given date.

On one AI system

Everything your company knows.
One version that counts.

You already own the documents. We make them the only thing your AI is allowed to answer from, and we keep them current — so nobody quotes last year’s price by accident again.
